I finally outgrew GI Joe :(

Saw this (new?) channel called The Hub on my friend's Dish Network last week.
GI Joe & Transformers from the 80s, a new Transformers that I don't care for. Wonder Years, the Batman from the 1960s. Cool beans! Luckily my local cable has the channel too.

I couldn't get through an episode of Batman because the Joker had a machine called a Surfing Experience & Ability Transferometer, no thanks.

First Gen Transformers is pretty good, I'm recording the 4:30 am showing and watching it the next day :)

Watched 2 full episodes of GI Joe, just couldn't take it. I had watched a few on Youtube and they were ok, but now it just doesn't do it for me. So when GI Joe says "for ages 6 & up" apparently the & up part stops before 33 :(

The voice acting, the unpossible things they did, just turned me off. Maybe realizing that most of the tough guys were voiced by the guy from Rugrats lol. Maybe it was Scarlett and Lady J climbing down a building, and Tomax/Xamot giving the line a small yank and it come undone, but I just couldn't do it.

On a positive note though, I was one of the people that loved the movie and can't wait to see part 2.

The Hub has been around for a little more than a year now. I thought it was fun to be able to see the show again. I had it set up on a series record for a while.

Anyway, life does that sometimes. Some shows are enjoyable even as an adult. Some, you look back and wonder what you ever saw in it. And with others still, you just have to accept the fact that, while fond memories may be attached, they're connected to a part in your life which you cannot return to.

Fortunately for me, this is a show I can still enjoy.

I still love the cartoon, but I understand what you are saying, maybe you should try reading the old marvel comics and see if you like that, I know for me as a kid it was a combination of the comic and the cartoon that made me a gi joe fan 4 LIFE.

I've actually gotten back into GI Joe and now not watching Transformers... they are now airing the episodes after the movie and the new characters and bouncing all around the galaxy is kinda boring.
