G.I. Joe cross
Should do a G.I. Joe / M.A.S.K. Crossover Movie.
shareNobody remembers M.A.S.K. anymore anyway.
shareHasbro aquired the rights to the "M.A.S.K." toy line when they gobbled up Kenner toys in the late 90s. They even put out an "Agent Tracker" figure as part of their "G.I. Joe" 25th annoversary line back in '07/'08.
Rights issues can get a little sticky, but as far as I know there's nothing to keep them from doing "M.A.S.K./Joe" cross-overs.
It definitely won't happen in a live-action film, and it likely won't happen in an animated series but I could see there being a comic book cross-over similar to the "G.I. Joe vs. Transformers" titles in the 80s. Especially if Hasbro ever decided to re-launch the toy line.

Can't they do as a 3-D or cgi/direct to video? If not do it as comic book. I knew that Hasbro got the rights to the M.A.S.K. Franchise and that is why I suggested the crossover. Maybe throw in the A-Team, Rambo and the Freedom Force also Missing in Action (j/k/a).
sharekyle, anything is possible, especially these days. Just look at the recent "Voltron" and "Thundercats" reboots.
I don't know if you've heard, but "M.A.S.K." is finally getting a DVD release, and that very well could spark a resurgence in interest. I hope so.

It's interesting that Hasbro would re-release one of the M.A.S.K. vehicles as a G.I. Joe vehicle. I wonder if we'll see more of that in the future or not. It might be interesting to see an update. I don't imagine that there would be a film or television crossover, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them team up in a comic book at some point.
shareNow that I think about it, if Hasbro doesn't have any intention of bringing back M.A.S.K., it might be interesting to give some of their vehicles to Cobra. You know, because M.A.S.K. was a competitor to the Joes and Cobra is their in-story enemy. Of course, some people might find that more petty than clever.
Still, I think it would be cool if they brought it back at some point. I think that it's similarities to G.I. Joe would make it a perfect buffer series between two G.I. Joe series. If Renegades wrapped up in 2014 and they didn't have any plans for another series until 2018, then three seasons of M.A.S.K. might be just what they need. It would give G.I. Joe an off time, allowing them to reinvent themselves and remain fresh when they return, while still providing audiences with some familiar concepts.
