In this classic two parter set on a parallel earth ruled by Cobra. why didn't Cobra Commander inform Golobulus back in Cobra La that he had conqured the world?

share"Worlds Without End" first aired in 1985. Golobulus and Cobra-La didn't appear until G.I. Joe: The Movie came out in 1987. The revelation in the movie that Cobra Commander was a mutated scientist from Cobra-La with blue skin and extra eyes contradicted earlier episodes of the TV series and was later ignored.
If you had to reconcile the movie with "Worlds Without End", it's possible that Cobra Commander would disobey Golobulus' orders and refuse to relinquish control of the world to Cobra-La.
In one earlier episode, didn't Cobra Commander tell Destro, something along the lines of "It takes a strong stomach to watch me eat," before putting on his mask? I thought this was forshadowing the lab accident, mentioned in the movie.
shareSo it could be asumed that Golobulus would have sent Pythona at some point to assasinate Cobra Commander and put their own person in charge.Maybe in this world they created Serpentor without using Mindbender and replaced Cobra Commander with him.
shareWell, ignoring the fact that Cobra-La didn't exist when these episodes were made... Knowing Cobra Commander, once he came into power he prob ordered a couple nukes dropped on Cobra-La's ice dome so he wouldn't have to give it up to Golobulus. =P
