Worlds without end (part 1 + 2)

There is a a two part episode in which we see the Joes traveling into a parallel world in which we finally see cobra ruling the world and all Joes (from this parallel version) being defeated or killed by cobra. It must have been one of the darkest and more interesting episodes of the whole series. I wonder why they didn’t continue this saga. Probably they could have made a third episode (set on the second season), in this case Dr. Mindbender has succeed in making Serpentor, Cobra still rulling the world but now only having Dr Mindbender and Serpentor as the main antagonist, while Cobra Comander and Destro had to join forces with the remaining Joes (Steeler, Breaker and Grunt) against Serpentor.
They can even could have made a series called Gi Joe: Underground Resistance using the same story in which the three Joes (and Baroness) recruit Joes from Season II but with different versions.
After watching Gi Joe the movie I wonder if in this parallel earth Cobra La exist.

I lkie this idea of yours.Worlds without End is my favoirite two parter. It's a shame they didn't do a sequel or make a spin-off series set in the parralle world.

I'd love to see them pick up that story line in a comic book series. I know there's a whole series of Star Trek novels set in its so-called "mirror universe". If they can do it, so can Joe.

I always hoped they would make a spinoff focusing on Steeler, Clutch and Grunt's struggle to win this parallel world back from Cobra. However, having Serpentor in this world would make no sense as Serpentor was created as a response to Cobra Commander's failure to take over the world. In this world CC had not failed thus no need for Serpentor.

As far as I'm concerned Cobra La never existed in any universe and the events of that horrible movie never happened.
