Did anyone ever get hit by a bulltet?

I was pretty young when this show was one and it wasn't one of the ones I liked to watch but I remember how the G.I. Joe guys would often exchange gun fire with the Cobra guys and there would be like thousands of bullets flying around. But I can't remember anyone ever getting hit. I do remember there were sometimes robot soldiers or planes flown by robots and they would all get hit.

Was there ever one instance of a human character getting hit by a bullet? Even if they didn't get killed, did they at least get a flesh would?

They actually weren't allowed to show them firing bullets, so they fired lasers instead (not sure why this was deemed more acceptable). I can't recall any human characters ever getting hit, but once they introduced the Cobra B.A.T.S. (Battle Android Troopers) the Joe's aim suddenly improved!

In G.I. Joe the Movie, Seprentor did nail Duke in the chest with one of his snake spear thingies, though we don't actually see it hit him and go in.

That's right; they were lasers.

I remember thinking that if you could see the action from Joe's POV, it would look like a solid wall of bullets (laser, I mean) but with the perfect cut out of the people being shot at, because that was the only place that bullets weren't landing.

I do seem to remember some two-part story where one of the main good guys was injured (maybe by a shot) and he woke up and they told him that he had been in a come for 10 or 20 years and now he was older. But it all turned out to be a ruse for some reason (they dyed his hair gray while he was knocked out so he thought he was older). That was the only time I can remember anyone actually getting any sort of wound.

You're right, the image that comes to mind when you say "G.I. Joe" is everyone running headlong into a hail of gunfire that traces the outline of their bodies.

The episode you mentioned is a two-parter called "There's no place like Springfield". Definitely one of the more beloved episodes from the series. The character is Shipwreck, but I believe he just passes out.

If you want to see what I believe to be the darkest episode, check out the two-parter "Worlds without end", in which a group of Joes are transported to an alternate reality where Cobra is winning and several of the Joes come across a mass grave with their own skeletal corpses in it! Easily my favorite episode(s) from the series.

I can't find that Worlds Without Ends episode. What would be the best way to go about seeing it?

In the movie, I believe Duke takes a graze to the shoulder.

Can't stop the signal.
