UK/European release
Would somebody please get on Sunbow or whoever's case to get a Region 2 DVD release with decent special features already. If SKY got the rights to show the Golden Girls and GI Joe then surely isn't too much to ask is it?
shareI believe the U.S. release was from Shout Factory. Just to be clear; do you want G.I Joe: A Real American Hero, or do you want Action Force? If you want the former, the Shout Factory release is well done. It's got a section with the PSA's, toy commercials and each release (It was released as a boxset I believe, but also a la carte, with S1 split into three releases and S2 in one set) had a behind the scenes featurette or retrospective.
Region free DVD players have come way down and are worth picking up for titles like this that don't get domestic releases.
I'm not sure about Action Force. That may take a write in campaign.

For a brief while GI JOE the movie special edition on region 2 was released on DVD with special features such as original story boards and toy commercials. It also had a season 1 episode (Cobras creatures) in the special features.Sadly this DVD was deleted a while ago.
A bare bones region 2 DVD with zero special features can still be found in most retailers.
There was a region 2 DVD with the first 6 or 7 episodes of season 1 released but that has also been deleted.
Sadly GI JOE fans in England got a bum deal in DVD releases.
I had to buy a multi region DVD player and buy a region 1 GI JOE boxet.
Its treason then! (Palpatine - Star Wars ROTS)
