I used to do that to change the head. Usually for a masked character. Snake Eyes with the silver knives on his chest was my favourite. I can't remember the name of the character who's head I changed him with. Also I did it with the armoured Cobra Commander.

shareI wasn't brave enough to take mine apart until I was older and started collecting. A lot I won came with a figure that had a broken o-ring, so I bought a tiny screwdriver and opened him up. Since then I've taken them apart many times to replace O-rings, screws, replace a broken crotch piece. My proudest achievement was taking two Ace figures that were C-7 and taking the best part from each and making a C-8.5/C-9 Ace from them.
