Where is Series 4 actually filmed?

I read Jimmy Nail's autobiography a few years back and I'm sure he said that they couldn't film in Cuba and had to do it somewhere else and bring in the old cars etc to make it look authentic, think it may have been cos Tim Spall had cancer or someone on the team couldn't get medical cover (could be wrong though) but where is it?

Pretty sure it was in the Dominican Republic. If you do a google search there is an Aufpet website containing most of the filming locations.

Yeah it was filmed in the Dominican Republic. They couldn't get permission to film in Cuba.

Many of the indoor Cuban scenes were filmed at Hornsey Town Hall in Crouch End.
