Could Zelig be Allen's most underrated film?

This film is pure genius and technically terrific. I read postings calling it overrated and am scratching my head wondering why is could be overrated in anyone's eyes.

I just saw the bulk of it last night, I don't know how it can be overrated if, in 32 years, I have never heard of it before yesterday.
