when i was little i remember seeing this wierd alien movie on the fox saturday afternoon movie or something. i don't remember much about the movie but i think there was a scene where a teacher ate a frog or something. is this the movie, or if not, does anyone know what i'm thinking of?
shareI don't know what movie you're thinking of. Was it French? There is no frog eating in Xtro (unless you count Maryam d'Abo's nude scene) although the alien Sam eats snakes eggs at one point.
They used quite a few animals in this film, 2 dogs (one called Katy at the start, another called Divine - John Waters/Divine tribute?, a snake (Harry - most important animal in the movie - named after the director?), a panther (nameless) and a parrot, known only as "Parrot", I think, though he has some memorable lines. What can I say, the British love animals.
hmmm...shucks i was hopin it was xtro. i remember in the movie there was like a huge crater in the woods that was like glowing red or something at one point in the movie and i remember the plot evolved around a child and aliens and his teacher became an alien or something and ate a frog in a closet in front of him and the kid freaked out. anyone know?
The film you are thinking of is the 1986 remake of 'Invaders From Mars'. I remember coming home from school and watching it with my Mom (if you read my other post, you can see I was a bit of a early horror junkie). The teacher who had the frog for lunch was Louise Fletcher, by the way. :)
shareOH MY GOD!!!! thank you so much!!!! i was also a rabid horror junkie since i was little, i'm so glad someone knew this. thanks a ton. there's another movie i saw when i was little but i have no idea what it is but i remember it had something to do with a haunted house (i think it was more of a ride of a haunted house like from a carnival or something than a real one, i say this because i seem to remember little cars or whatever that took people through the house.) the only person/character i remember is a really old man, he may have even been a puppet or something, he was like the owner of the house or whatever.
that is really all i remember from this movie, sorry it couldn't be more vague if i tried. i'm hoping someone knows what i'm talking about. i haven't seen it in so long that i'm not even sure it exists. please help!
I really, really want to say that this is 1981's 'The Funhouse', but it has been years and years since I've seen it.
