What is it with young men and ol' ladies? Seems to be a huge diff between straight and gay dudes in this way. Gay guys who are hot will not only show interest in guys who are the same, but have very little interest in older guys. Straight guys, even the hot ones, seem to show interest in women no matter how old they are or what they look like. Bizarre. Lucky for the ol' ladies I guess though.

Steve Antin http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0031078/bio?ref_=nm_dyk_trv_sm#trivia (of The Last American Virgin) dated the CEO of Geffen records who was oin his 40's while Steve was in his 20's I worked at a motel and a gay couple checked in, and same thing: one was old enough to be the younger one's father.

The actress who played Beth Bren't mother was only 36 years old, not what I would call "old". I would have gone for it at that age because I thought girls my age at that time (age 14-17) were just that: As a side ♪, these women are called "cougars"

You're correct but I don't think Skip went there with the intention of Suzi's books. I think he said that as an improvised excuse for being there assuming the mother was there.

Yes: it was totally made up. He thought the mom was there, rather than Suzie (as did we in the audience). Telling detail to support this interpretation
- He picked up a book that was already in Suzie's house right as he was saying, "I'm returning one of Suzie's books."
- He referred to her as "Suzie," which would be odd if he thought he was talking to Suzie.

I saw this flick again, there's an edit between the stepmom discovering her daughter in bed and then...nothing ever mentioned of it again. Do with this information as you will. As for me...I think stepmom joined in. Huzzah!

I think Skip was going for whoever was home when he came into the house. If it was the mom, fine. If it was Suzie, just as well but he was there to seize the day. The mom was smokin' but Suzie was sweet. Not as fine as her three girlfriends but far from a dog.
