several cartoons played.
A Heckle and Jeckyle cartoon with the two crows, a very old Porky Pig cartoon, several Warner Bros. cartoons
The house that the movie crew built looked just like the house in the cartoon.
That Porky Pig cartoon that plays where he is trying to escape all the slamming doors is on one of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection DVD sets.
I knew it was an episode of Heckle and Jeckle because I use to watch the show when I was a kid. Just founf the episode on you-tube. If you want to watch the whole thing

"What are we supposed to use? Harsh language?"
The cartoon with the jowly bulldog that showed just before the Heckle and Jeckle magpies is a classic Looney Tunes one called Feed the Kitty.
The jowly bulldog races up madly barking to terrify a tiny kitten he could just about swallow without even chewing. Tiny kitten calmly climbs up and makes himself a bed atop the bulldog's neck fur, nestling in with his claws as the bulldog first looks startled, half-heartedly barking, confused why the little kitty wasn't terrified, winces and sweats as it claws into his skin making its bed, then falls head over heels in love with it.
Rest of the cartoon is the bulldog trying to not get caught by his human family since he was banned from ever bringing anything into the home again.
If you hadn't already guessed, one of my all time favorite Looney Tunes, and by far my top favorite of the secondary characters.
edited to add: Forgot to mention where to find it like duranduranruler: it's in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection, Volume 2, disc 2, also the corresponding two-disc Spotlight Collection, Volume 2.
