Man do I love this movie!!

Watching it in HD for the first time, it has been years since I'd seen it and Im happy it still delivers the goods! I feel the film offers quite a unique experience in its stories...they somehow compliment one another, from shocking, to nightmarish, to inspiring and then all out horror.

I love the opening with ALbert and Dan, one of my all time favorite scenes! And what was awesome? My wife had never seen this so she was genuinely scared and shocked by what happened at the end...so aweosme to watch movies like this when its someone's first time.

I really enjoyed kick the can, something i never cared for when I was younger, I guess since I am older now, I can relate a bit more and I too live by the "young mind" philosphy.

I find Anthony's story qutie surreal and fun, as well as nightmarish, can you imagine a kid having all that power? Wow! And um, well, the main chick was hot as hell IMO haha. (Cant remember her name at the moment)

As for John Lithgow's segment, absolute perfection, though, its quite hard NOT to think of treehouse of horror, right? HAHA But he does such a phenominal job crafting his character, what amazing talent!

The only thing that bugs me to this day is how much the death of Vic Morrow has been an overshadowing of the actual film. Im part of that too of course, I had to share that knowledge with my wife as well after the segment, but I kinda wish I never knew that info about it. Its hard not to watch it and think abotu what happened, right? In regards to the story and what "could have been", maybe its just me but I think it works well without any redemption. His character was disgusting and horrible, and the thought of someone like that being caught up in a neverending circle of hell? Scary and fitting. IMO.

Overall, it gets the ultimate 10 out of 10, great nostaligia but on top of that, its just a REALLY good set of stories. What say you?

"You ONLY moved the headstones!! Why? WHY?!?"

The first story was ok - the helicopter incident totally shadows the whole thing though, it's very eerie to think we are watching Vic Morrows final days, he was very good acting wise and if it was completed to the script this story could have been good but the tragic circumstances that surround this segment makes it strange and unsettling to watch (not in a good way either) 5/10
Second story - went overboard with the schmaltz, Scatman Crothers was great, the rest fell completely flat in my opinion, way too corny 4/10
Third - Now this was much better, this segment was visually interesting and kinda disturbing (especially the 'rabbit trick') 8/10
Fourth - best of all, very creepy and claustrophobic atmosphere in this segment, John Lithgow's performance was fantastic - very well done update to a classic twilight zone episode 9/10
The opening prologue was also brilliant
I think the whole movie is a 7 and 1/2 out of 10

This movie had a lot of stars in it, and famous names attached, I mean speilberg, and I totally forgot about dan akkroyd and...albert brooks? lol! and a little tidbit of info, akkroyds real life wife was in it as well, the airplane stewardess. I think they've been in a few movies together. gotta say, he is one lucky man, his wife is gorgeus!
