"It's a Good Life" totally ruined by an 80s makeover

Given a comedic Warner Brothers style and a happy turnaround ending, as opposed to the nihilistic approach of the original, this episode was awful. It had moments for sure but to be considered a remake it really needs to have stronger similarities to the original. In the original, the entire town was under Anthony's spell, in this only the family. In the original you hope that someone bashes that little kid's head in. In this one he repents and its all over with despite the awful things he has done.

hehehe... 😅 i'm sure these aren't serious comments about anthony... 😬 don't we all just love anthony? 😱 i do! he's a good boy! 👏 looking around this board people really don't seem to like the twilight zone movie! one thing i noticed after having gotten used to the classic series is how silly it seems they have put so much effort on people making funny faces and special effects, rather shallow compared to the great original. i thought lithgow was great in the last piece, and there are two actors returning (burgess meredith as narrator and kevin mccarthy) from the original. anyway this segment seem to be the exception though, of all the segments in this movie this one people seem to generally really like, i think it has a neat atmosphere and i'm glad the story finally got a conclusion to what happened, with the help of adding another role to the story, adding roles also happens alot in twilight zone radio dramas to help it adapt to radio i suppose.

It was a very good thing Anthony did bringing the Tasmanian Devil to life. A very very good thing.
