the Chicken Man was in it...his first movie role.

Actually he had a few film parts before Trading Places. I particularly remember him in Taps which was a couple of years before TP. But you might not recognize him if you don't already know who it is.

Which part did he play?

There's lots of breaking bad actors in classic 80s/90s films. Mike was in Gremlins, and Hank was in Total Recall.

about 15 min into the film..in the jail cell, he was 1 of the young prisoners.

That's cool, haha. Would never had guessed that and i'm usually good at spotting actors in films.
