I don't know a damn about the rules/laws of economics, so does somebody knows what they were trying to do at the end? (with the selling/ buying thingie) How come they all finished rich at the end?

A futures contract multiplier is 1000. So when Ackroyd shouted sell 30 at 142 each point means 1000 dollars & then kept shorting on the way down covering at 32...
