Randolph and Mortimer, Muppets?

I was wondering if Randolph and Mortimer were made to resemble Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets, you know, those two old guys with the balcony seats. I noticed a resemblance and I wonder if they were made to resemble Statler and Waldorf on purpose.

You could be right. Great pick up. Frank Oz WAS in the movie.

Actually, Statler himself was in the movie! His performer Richard Hunt (also played Scooter, Beaker, Janice) was the Dukes' trader. :)

As a matter of fact, Statler himself is in the film! Muppet performer Richard Hunt (also played Scooter, Beaker, Janice, many others) played the Dukes' trader.

Here's a funny thing: Two of the Muppeteers appear in this film: Frank Oz as that corrupt cop and with the Dukes in the trading scene, Richard Hunt as Wilson. And Richard Hunt did Statler!!!!!!!
