A true horror movie--spoilers

Under the disguise of a Lifetime family drama. This movie stayed with me for weeks:

--an extremely bright light in the house when the family is just going about their business and the power is out forever

--wiping fallout off the dishes and complaining the milk tastes funny

--the younger boy bleeding from his behind when he succumbed to radiation poisoning and the mother frantically searching for his stuffed animal the next morning to bury him with

--the daughter just disappears (no mention of her death and this was not long after she confesses she wished to have done it with a boy)

--the older boy rides his bike around and every other house in the neighborhood is abandoned and junk all over the place

--the mother runs her fingers through her hair and some of it comes out

--mother barfing in the toilet near the end (knowing her time is near)

--and worst of all: the mother goes off the deep end screaming and another man tries to console her and she gets very intimate with him

reply

The daughter did die...it clearly shows the mother wrapping her in a death shroud made of ripped up sheets.

Wouldn't you go off the deep end? I think that considering the situation, the mom handled it pretty well. And I didn't take her kissing the priest as "intimacy", more maybe desperation and comfort. Great movie..makes you THINK!

And yes, the daughter did die..the Mom and son were the only family members to survive..the Dad, the daughter and the younger son all died.
