The teddy bear? (SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!)

SPOILERS!!!

Hey! I have a doubt, maybe is a stupid detail for you, but when Scotty died his mother couldn't find the teddy bear to bury it with him, it seemed that it had disappeared. But at the end of the movie, in the table scene, Hiroshi found the bear and gave it to the mother, without any explanation.

Where was it?

Do you have children? If you did then you'd know--it could have been anywhere. Who knows? Maybe he tried to protect it (like he did his action figures) and hid it somewhere only a child would think to look and that's where Hiroshi found it.

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN THIS IS A SCENE THAT HITS HOME!!!!
My son who is 6 had a stuffed brown dog that he calls "barky". He has had him since he was 3. He has dozens of stuffed animals on the end of his bed but "Barky" is the one that goes every where with him. He sleeps with him. When he is watching T.V. Barky is right there next to him. He carries him out to the garage when they walk to school and he is there sitting on the garage chair waiting for him when he comes home. When we go out Barky comes with us. I have to tell him to keep him in the truck when we go into the store so he doesn't accidentally leave him on a shelf while he is distracted by a new toy or something. If he ever got left behind my son would be utterly devastated.
I once threatened him with taking him away if he didn't behave. The look on his face made me promise myself never to make that kind of threat again.
If something like this ever happened to my son he would be getting burried with his favorite friend.

Wow, not only was the Teddy Bear scene in Teastement a very touching/emtional scene, but so was your post msmith65. I have two sons ages 12 and 14 now. When they were little, they each had a stuffed animal they were real close too, one was a Lion that my son named "Lion" and the other son had a Tiger he named "Copper". As they got older, I one day took the two animals and put them away for safe-keeping. Maybe when they're parents, they can give 'em to their children. I had a stuffed animal that was a dog I called Ruff-Ruff growing up. I'll never know what happened to him, but some day I can share my son's stuffed animals with their children.

"Ours" was a floppy dog named "Bitsy" named after the book called "Five Beds for Bitsy". Bitsy got left behind at a playground and it was discovered when we were having to go to a dinner and so could not return right away. Luckily, Bitsy was waiting for us under the swings when we went back in the morning ... EARLY !!! Actually, I think that Mom was more concerned than the Kid was but hey =)

In frantic moments when someone is looking for something, it can be right in front of them, but they don't see it. After her son had died, she likely never tried looking for it again. Hiroshi found it, wherever it was. The location was not important. What was important is that the dead child's beloved toy was bringing comfort to another child, which made the mother happy.
