Director's name?

What is the name of the actor who played the director?

Lazy *beep* WHY don't you look it up, yourself; you KNOW IMDb lists ALL the actors! Jeeze, next thing you know, you'll be asking for somebody to wipe your arse, too!

I'm the bad guy? How'd that happen?
Michael Douglas ("D-FENS"), in "Falling Down"

Hey, EddieSchak, YOU get around, don't you? I think SpyGirl446 was asking about the director of
"Satan's Alley," the show within the movie, "Staying Alive." In that case, it would be veteran actor
Kurtwood Smith, who's listed in the credits as "Choreographer." If I'm mistaken, and she REALLY DID mean Sylvester Stallone, then I'm sorry I let her off so easily. EddieSchak, YOU'RE a "veteran" of these threads, DOESN'T it make YOU sick when posters are TOO lazy to do their OWN homework? I mean, IMDb lists ALL this information, and cretins WON'T extend themselves to search it out; they'd rather let SOMEBODY ELSE do it for 'em. Man, I'm sure making a LOT of friends on these threads, aren't I? See 'ya around, buddy!

Ol' Red Foreman? EddieSchak have YOU been drinking Michael Jackson "Jesus Juice," again. On the
"Staying Alive" IMDb site, Kurtwood Smith is listed as "choreographer," between Ross St. Phillip,
and Frank Stallone. Thanks for the free advice, ole' chum, but I STAND BY my original comments.
As "Ole' Blue Eyes," Frank Sinatra USED to say, "THAT'S why the lady is a tramp."

I believe the director was played by Steve Inwood.

This movie was on AMC tonight, and it's hilarious to watch. Kind of like an 80's fitness commercial, stretched out to an hour and a half. It has a few engaging moments, such as Tony walking past 2001 (converted into a strip joint), his Catholic mother's reaction to seeing him perform in "Satan's Alley", and the rehearsal scene halfway through the movie when Travolta lifts Finola Hughes up and puts his nose right in her a$$. Ah, the sweet smell of success! The rest of the movie, however, is an awkward case study in film cliches.

And what a perpetually pissed off prick, that director! Imagine him driving a schoolbus full of retarded children, or walking out to his car at the end of the day and finding it dented. Stand back!

Too bad AMC didn't show the special edition with the alternate ending, featuring Frank Stallone waiting for Travolta in Times Square, where he beats him to death with his guitar (the lead role in "Satan's Alley" then goes to Patrick Swayze).
