Dreadful, yet satisfying

God. This movie is a true embarrassment, but at the same time, why the hell do I keep watching it whenever it's on TV??? Would I have spent $24 on a ticket to the lame show at the end? Probably - because I watch the damn thing straight through whenever it gets to that part!

And what's with the director and those outfits? I just love those boots he wears...

and travolta has his top off a lot which adds to the enjoyment of this movie!

Great soundtrack? Underrated movie? THIS movie is PURE dogsh*t! It's the WORST movie sequel EVER made! I'd rather undergo root canal surgery (WITHOUT anesthesia) than WATCH this movie!
YOU must be a VERY LONELY person. YOU must be the Elephant Man. IF you like "Staying Alive," then you probably LOVE Celine Dion! Man, YOU are whacked! Man, YOU have no taste. Man, YOU are lost!

I'm the bad guy? How'd that happen?
Michael Douglas ("D-FENS"), in "Falling Down"

Yeah, coldscribe? The best part of YOU ran down your daddy's leg, right after YOU were conceived!

Never really understood why people take the time out of their day to rip a movie they don't like.

I liked the movie; period. Was it "good"?

Not in the clinical, "is it art" sense, but since I'm more interested in being entertained than passing judgement on the artistic quality of a film, guess that's Ok with me.

reply

OH and by the way - since comments were made about Travolta - Cynthia Rhodes and Finola Hughs aren't exactly tough on the eyes ;-)

reply

Good lord, bheyer, calm the hell down.

reply

I don't understand Bheyer's use of capitalization. Even if you were yelling, I highly doubt you would actually place emphasis on "this", "watch", and especially "if"... sooo his opinion is void of value.

I like Celine Dion and this movie. And I'm not lonely, don't know what an elephant man is, am very sober, and have taste.

The best thing about this movie is Finola Hughes...

The rest can be largely forgotten.

I have to agree, there is some strange magnetism with this film that forces me to watch it whenever it's aired on TV. Not that I mind.
Being the tender age of 25 and therefore growing up during the 80's I'll always hold a place in my heart for leg warmers, the A-Team and stadium rock.

The strongest memory I have of this film is the ultra-cheesy band the lead female is in gigging in some sort of dingy downtown club. I always laugh at Stallone's bro playing the axe on that song with the chorus 'Standing tall, with my back against the wall!'

Ah, pure 80's goodness.

reply

"Wakin' up with my eyes open wide! / Wakin' up / You're just sleepin' by my side" (or something like that).

Definitely ultra-cheesy... and I loved every bite.

Floaty, floaty froggie...
