My review

I just watched it on Vh1 classics. Never seen it before. I heard the hype that it sucks, my friend says it sucks too after coming out of Return of the Jedi, go figure.

John Travolta was a great presence on film for this role. He is raw power personified. When he was on screen he was like a Lion stalking his female prey (his hair reminded me of a Lion also). Heavy music and dancing with no goal for the movie really is the only downside. I think he would have been better off with another dance competition for money or for getting on a Broadway musical or something.

I was not even sure if Satan's Alley was a Broadway play. It was 80's dancing at it's best or worst on how you look at it. I found it mesmerizing.

I think this has some re watching potential. The music is in my head and must be satisfied with the soundtrack cd.

His relationships with women are very primal. He is distracted very easily. I think it was a great comment by the trash chicks in the club that he was meant for exercise and not relationships which is probably what the movie is really about but not hammered home really.

Sly really likes montages I noticed. Not surprising with Rocky films under his belt.

I really enjoyed the movie but I wanted more of a story with better goals.

I can't wait for the next one! (You know it's gonna happen)

LOL after a quarter of a century? I highly doubt it!

Actually YES that was a broadway play, that was his big break. I know it looked so outrageous and campy that you wouldn't think it was broadway!
