I remember seeing the very 1st showing of it here in Rochester, NY, back in July of 1983.

SNF was more of a truer glimpse into NYC. Quite a lot of SA was shot in LA,unfortunately.
Most of the outdoor scenes were obviously shot in NYC. I met someone who lived in the Laura's high-rise and spent time with Travolta and Stallone while filming there. Cool stuff, and she showed me pix as well.
