During the actual show. I've never in my life understood this. Not when I was five and not now as an adult. Was he just trying to make her mad? Did he just want a reaction? Did he think it fit the show? Any thoughts?
"Why couldn't the monkey arrange this from INSIDE the garbage can?"
I wonder if he simply wanted to do it and so he did. Perhaps he grew up a bit during all of these shenanigans but he clearly didn't lose ALL of his immaturity!
Simple. She turned him down and he can't figure out why, so he has to take public revenge by reminding her and everyone else (including Jackie, whom he loves)that he feels entitled to her body. It's why he throws her across the floor and takes over the stage at the end, too. If she doesn't want to give him what he wants, he is free to take what he wants from her without her permission, and then throw her away. Then everyone applauds.
Well in a way she used him and tossed him aside when she was done with him. He was a bit of a jerk and thought he could do what he wants and he ended up hurting Jackie who loved him and was faithful to him and he ended up learning his lesson IMO.
