Did Ricki know the truth about Angela?

I've always wondered if Ricki knew Angela was a truly a boy. At the beginning of the movie, the doctor and Ricki were supposed to hang out with Peter and the rest of his family. So that implies that Ricki had been around Angela and Peter before and knew of both of them. So after the accident, you would think Ricki would know that Peter wasn't Angela and that she had died...Maybe that's why he was always trying protect him/her because he knew?

I think he did in fact know o the whole situation. It would be hard for crazy Aunt Martha to keep that hidden from Ricky, no matter what methods she used to otherwise conceal Angela's secret from him. Plus, living in the same house. Ricky and Angela are bound to have a conversation at least once a day. Only thing is that Ricky probably heard Angela's real voice (The sound effect we hear at he end is probably the closest we ever hear of his/her real voice).

But, I think he protected Angela from the bullies out of being of care for her. Whenever he defends her, he has an anger toward whoever the perp is in his voice. That alone is a sign of caring on Ricky's part. She is the closest Ricky ever had to a real sibling.

It's possible that Ricky didn't hang out with Angela and Peter often enough to tell them apart, especially at that young of an age when the two sexes look fairly similar. I say this as someone who can barely recognize some of my cousins.

I suppose it could be possible that Ricky knows Angela's secret, but I have a hard time believing that someone so protective of Angela wouldn't do something about her being forced to become a girl, even if Ricky is just a kid.

Of course Ricky knew. One of the opening HUGE clues to the movie is in the scene where Aunt Martha is wrangling Angela and Ricky to get ready for the bus to Camp Ararak. She made a big production of the PHYSICALS that were needed to attend. "Don't tell anyone where you got them" is the instruction to Ricky and he says "No matter what they do I won't tell". The falsified physicals allowed Angela to be able to go as a girl. I've watched this movie a few times.....and there are some questionable plot points. I tend to think that Ricky was at least an accessory....and might have killed some. And even Aunt Martha says some things that might put her at the scene of the crime. "Lets not the bus leave with out us"and "We are going to be late for the bus". She could have stowed away or was there on her own. Revenge is the key to most of the action..except for Paul...who was killed by Angela because she had been pushed over the edge. Other than the obvious kiddy diddling that was at the forefront by two of the main POWER people...Mel and the Chef...the movie holds up....and is way under rated.

EXACTLY! The physicals. That's the big give away that Ricky is aware that his cousin has a peen

Thanks, Radar. I've only seen this once. I'm watching it again now. I was so focused on the weird aunt I didn't connect the thing about the physicals.
