Did Tony deserve his fate? He really did F Sosa...didn't he?

Sosa depended on that hit, and Tony decidedly to selective become conscientious--fine but by the rules of 'gangsta' --- He F Sosa.

Hmmm

Hard not to root for him though

Eh it really wouldn't matter whether Tony did the hit or not. I mean if he would have gotten through with it, then yes Sosa would have helped Tony just like promised. However there were tons of criminals in Miami who were just waiting to get to the spot that Tony had. Somebody like Gaspar Gomez or the *beep* Diaz brother (cackaroaches) would probably try to kill Tony at some point. And even if none of them would succed, then the heroin would have killed Tony eventually. If there was any fate he deserved, then it would be spending long time behind bars and all of his assets taken from him. Same with Sosa.

It was only a matter of time before Sosa became a guest to the government, with or without Tony help. drug barons may have long shelf lives. But, unlike them, governments have no expiration date.

guys like Tony? a dime a dozen. both Tony and Sosa were two sides of the same coin.

Sosa was just delaying the inevitable.

"Governments have no expiration dates"

Tell that to the Roman empire! 😄

Had he played his cards right in their final conversation he could have saved the situation. Sosa might not have a conscience, but he was a shrewd enough man to realize that two children being blown up with a bomb in New York would bring about public and media attention that would do far more damage than the journalist talking about him. All tony had to do was tactfully point out that had he let the bomb go off Sosa's face would be on the front of every newspaper around the world.
