The Rise of Scarface

If I'd make a guess(And it's purely a guess. I'm sure someone can look up the Voting History/Per Age Etc), it's because this film seemed like it hit the 90's Crowd more than the 80's. Look at the Hip Hop World and it's love for the Film. I could name a million and one Hip Hop quotables in reference to this film. All of that led to an influence on a Generation of People. It also seems to gain more fans every year. It's just one of those films. I personally outgrew it. I like it, I don't think much else of it. 'Carlitos Way' is far superior but people seem to turn back to this when talking DePalma and Pacino. It's a Cultural Icon I guess.

I thought the same and like you I also out grew it, but in some ways it still remains kind of a favourite of mine. In its genre atleast. But ye, its suits this generation far more than any other.

Those numbers would be interesting to take a look at if some could dig them out. Cheers!

It certainly got positive mentions from various places, such as the Entourage TV program, rap artists, and so on.

Maybe it's because of South Park. Cartman is obsessed with Scarface.
