distinctive voice - Charles Durning

The guy who played the Dad in Tootsie also played an immigration officer in the first scene. He's uncredited, but his voice is very distinctive. And turns out it was the same guy. Amazing how distinctive many actors' voices are.

I remember watching that scene in the theater in January 1983 and thinking, "Oh, wow, I didn't know Charles Durning is in this," and being disappointed when the camera pulled back to reveal a different actor. I am almost never wrong about these things, because I have an uncanny ear for voices. So it was gratifying to find, years later, that he did indeed loop that scene!
