Would Sosa give Tony a second chance after the failed hit?

Let's say Tony didn't go on a coke-infused rage with his final phone call with Sosa. Do you think if Tony responded in a calm and civil manner, complete with an apology; would Sosa give him a second chance?

Nope because coked up or not Tony was not in a good frame of mind. Plus he would never beg Sosa never.

reply

Not as things stood, no. It was bad he killed a reliable disposal man. It was worse he made the speech. It was catastrophic they also found the explosives giving the guy more security and power.

Had they not found the explosives and then he was eliminated right afterwards BEFORE he talked to Sosa... I could him letting Tony live despite slaying the henchman. BUT.... it would definitely be strained at best.

It is a diversion from your topic..but I will indulge.

"I don't see the sig's appeal. You can apply this statement to virtually every healthcare form in the USA. sounds very partisan-esque to me. "

Well, its appealing because most people know its made a good system far worse for the overwhelming majority. Its not exactly partisan when those not involved in politics can measure and weigh the successes versus the failures. Only a mere handful here in the US even pretend the law does more good than harm. Its become more of a punchline that keeps on giving.

To demonstrate:

[b]A law is a success or a failure based upon the objectives set forward and if its overall effect has been positive or negative. People's perceptions, elections, etc have no bearing whatsoever.

To this end:

- It took three years of tax revenue to fund and yet it is still increasingly in the red and costing trillions as the health/young are avoiding it. A mere 2 million signups that are non-subsidized.....initiative failure.

- Emergency rooms. Obamacare was supposed to take the stress off of ER's but that hasn't happened, so that cost is still there....initiative failure.

- Of the 13 million who have it..11 million are subsidized; not the young and healthy who were needed. So basically, its just income redistribution and hurting tens of millions....initiative failed.

- Scores of young healthy people were supposed to sign up....they didn't...most are subsidized or have pre-existing; thus, the prices continue to go way up...initiative failed.

** In short, this was the AFFORDABLE Care Act. It was supposed to make healthcare more affordable. In the end, its costing the people more, the insurance companies more, adding to government bureaucracy, driving up the debt, and lowering quality. Obamacare's failure isn't really even a subject to debate.

Of course not, Sosa's men were already on their way to kill Tony as they arrived from Bolivia only a few hours after Sosa's phone call

LNA "the girl that walked the earth" 86

reply

Not a chance. That was the difference between Sosa and Tony, Sosa wouldn't have thought twice about killing some kids.

reply

What if Tony lied to Sosa? (something like this):

Sosa: "Tony, what happened?"
Tony: "The bomb didn't go off - Alberto tried to kill me."
Sosa: "What!?"
Tony: "Let me finish. Alberto had the balls to accuse me of sabotage, you know? I don't do that 5417 - we fought and I ended up cancelling his contract."

reply

Absolutely not. It was important that they got to the guy before he went on 60 Minutes and ratted everyone out. It was their only chance. Thanks to Tony it was just a matter of time before the Bolivian army raided Sosa's villa.

reply

No, because like Sosa said, it was too late. The target had 'security up the ass'.

Anyway, I like how Tony's fate was sealed ironically because of the one decent act in his entire life; preventing a woman and two kids from being killed.
