Why did Tony let Angel die?

I don't understand why Tony let him die so easily. He could pretend that he's gonna give them the money to buy some time until the others show up and save them.

By the way, it seems unrealistic that Angel just stands there like a sheep waiting to get slaughtered. If someone would try to cut me up with a chainsaw I would definitely struggle and kick him in the nuts. It is still better to get shot than being executed by a chainsaw.

Maybe but we all have different reactions in life-and-death situations, it's not impossible to freeze out of sheer terror, or just to "stand just like that" as Angel did, maybe he didn't even think they were going to kill him that way. Anyway, that kind of 'unrealistic' things doesn't bother me when its purpose is to make one of the 'likable' characters die, had Angel survived in an unrealistic way, that would've been too much to ask in terms of suspension of disbelief.

Please stop with the "If someone would try to cut me up with a chainsaw I would definitely struggle and kick him in the nuts." You'd piss your pants then die, LOL

Every person that served can be called a veteran, but not every veteran can be called a Marine.

Kick him in the nuts, huh? That sounds easy enough...

Tony knew the Colombians were going to kill the both of them anyway.

His arm had been chopped off and he (Angel) was probably dead from blood loss by the time Manny and Chichi busted in to save Tony - there wasn't much he could have done to help him.

Except to not forget the yeyo.

Why can't you wretched prey creatures understand that the Universe doesn't owe you anything!?

I feel either way they would have still killed them and Tony knew that. Tony also knew that Manny was late so he had to delay until he got there.

There really wasn't much Tony could do. They had him cuffed to the curtain rod, or so it seemed...Hector had the chainsaw, Marta was out in the room laying cover, the other guy in the tub had a gun...they were screwed and Tony knew it.

The entire meet was not planned well to begin with. Angel standing there with his back turned, you had Manny hitting on chicks down in the car, Chi-Chi doing who knows what...they should have been standing at least down by the stairwell entrance, or at least parked so they could see Tony and Angel were about to get ambushed.

The Russians had the case made. It was made. The Russians had it made. They made the case.

I'm with you in this one. Tony acted like a *beep* when we met the Colombians and poor Angel takes the hit. Roles reversed Angel would of done a better job negotiating with hector then Tony did and would of been a straight deal. I didn't like hector, however think he would of played ball if tony had played ball.

Where did chi chi wonder off too as manny walked up stairs? You see thus Bruno Mars look alike walking in a straight line as manny walking up sun Ray hotel stairs. All I know is I wouldn't like these two "protecting me" as a backup.

The second you see hector means business I would of said I'll get it

Why did Manny let Angel die? He was preoccupied with flirting with the women when he was supposed to be watching out for danger and keeping track of how long they had been in the motel. He waited too long to go investigate and ultimately, only could save Tony and Chico.
