What was with Elvira? What was her major malfunction?

She was physically incapable of being happy. Why would anyone - Frank, Tony, anyone - ever want to even hang out with her? Perpetually unhappy. Like Tony implied, she just lies there in bed without even moving, like a dead fish.

Yeah, sure, she's Michelle Pfeiffer. She's attractive. But Jesus Christ, what a goddamned downer. She's a miserable piece of sh!t.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

She's addicted to coke, and is an alcoholic. Those types of people aren't very outgoing

reply

She's incapable of being independent or living a normal life. Being around powerful men makes her feel safe in her little bubble. But that bubble doesn't come with happiness. I really felt for her.

You're move, creep

reply

Agreed. I don't know what anyone would see in her.

reply

I'd be unhappy if I was married to Frank or Tony.

reply

Elvira may have been an unsympathetic coke whore but she survived Tony's reign and downfall. I'm sure she ended up as Sosa's mistress once the dust cleared. Imagine a sequel:

Scarface II: Elvira's Revenge

reply

Lindsy LoHan and Tara Reid still are girlfriends to some guys with money.
So Elvira is just like them.

reply

Tony and Frank obviously liked her cause she was pretty. But that girl had issues.

reply

I get the sense she had a rough life with not many good relationships with family or friends. That usually makes people hard to connect to. However there were times that she showed a lighter side like when tony put on her hat and she laughed

reply

I was always under the impression her attitude was a front, like she was putting on an act. Then add to the fact that she is perpetually high on coke and doesn't have any friends and hangs out with gangster all day long, that kind of environment doesn't attract the warm and fuzzy emotions.

She was a trophy; having Elvira was like owning a Rolls Royce, or a yacht. She was a beautiful creature to be possessed. And to tony Montana, Cuban refugee, possessing a blonde haired American Princess was probably the ultimate symbol of success. And I don't know if she was miserable; she was just an icy, spoiled bitch; exactly the kind of women gangsters tend to be attracted to..

reply

Elvira moved to South America and became the head madam of one of Sosa's brothels. True story.
