I see what you're saying. But in that business, he was an exterminator; meant to clean up messes....be an expert in the "disposal" business. Why make yourself a target when you can eliminate them quickly and cleanly minimizing personal risk? The other guys were cheap paid for hire guns. He obviously had been in the game a long time and earned a more discreet approach.

One would think it would have taken him less than 5 minutes to climb up the rope ladder in this. One flaw in this movie is that the timing is really off on a couple scenes (ie people taking way too long to do what they setup to do).

He was obviously paid to kill Tony, not challenge him to a duel.
