I know it’s hard to mess with perfection but this movie’s storyline would be a great streaming show. Flesh out Braden’s character more and make him a powerful businessman who moonlights as a ninja. How fantastic is that? I can see this stretching about 10 episodes and building up to a climatic finale.

They would end up turning the cop friend gay, they would end up having Ashley Ferrare's character turn into some kind of uber-feminist super cop that manages to outshine the main character, and they would end up having Braden represented as some kind of Republican Nazi just to drive the point home.
If Netflix wasn't so full of fail, or maybe if some Asian production company got a hold of the rights it might turn out okay, but there are no companies like Cannon these days and sadly I don't think a remake would do justice to the original in any way, especially going by other recent remakes/sequels like Masters of the Universe: Revelation or the recent G.I Joe: Snake Eyes movie.
