Anyone thinks the Sheriff is a little too forgiving.

Especially for a guy who was a serial killers. I dont think movie is bad or anything. I actually kinda like the sequel expand on the Norman Bates character. But the way hes let out of prison in both Psycho 2 and 4. And the way everyone is so forgiving to Norman, Including Law Enforcement. Is very perplexing.

Joseph Stefano wrote Psycho IV as a sequel to the original, he wanted to ignore II and III altogether. So if you take it that way, Norman was only released once.

But if you take all the sequels into account (which most people do), Norman was like a cat with nine lives.
