In my mind, it's one of the best supporting performances ever given. He steals every scene.

Dallas bursting on scene, fresh out of the hospital, ready to rumble. Bam! Ponyboy gets popped in the nose and fists are flying everywhere.

I am watching this again (for about the 20th time) and I tend to agree with you about Matt Dillon’s performance. The only scene I have a problem with is his death scene which to me felt a bit overdone when he was crawling after getting shot. Is it just me?

I have the line "do it for Johnny, man" rattle around in my head every once in a while. His performance made a big impression on me.
