Sure, The Outsiders was a vehicle for a bunch of big actors, but it hardly seems like a real stand-out, especially as folks like Tom Cruise were barely in it. And then the subject asked about the greatest cast, not best vehicle, and on that score, I'd point to landmarks like

shareWow, that is a heck of a cast! It even includes some great foreign actors such as Liv Ullmann and Dirk Bogarde.
shareRight?! Also very prominent German actors like Wolfgang Preiss and Hardy Krüger. All star cast for sure. Great, great movie... once you get past the semi awkward music score. One of my faves and I'm a big WWII buff.
