Sean Connery is my favorite too. I had the privilege of seeing "Goldfinger" during it's initial theater release back in the early 60's....so he is the definitive James Bond for me. He has been my favorite J.B. for 54 years. I have even prejudiced my 12 year old grandson....he considers Sean Connery to be his favorite too....LOL!

i love reading people's personal anecdotes, i can't imagine seeing connery and moore as bond at the theatre, often ones favorite bond is the one seen when young, can you imagine the later portrayals... even though i wasn't around, moore and connery have always been bond to me since i was a kid, i remember someone saying there was a time when you could look forward to the next bond movie. some say it doesn't make sense bond and largo playing a videogame instead of throwing him into a pool of sharks, when it's weirder playing a videogame than throwing someone into a pool of sharks you know it's a bond movie, right, and of course bond learns to master the game very quickly, i'm yet to meet a worthy opponent to defeat me at the game wcw nwo revenge ๐Ÿ˜‰. this makes for at least three connery movies where bond appears to die at the beginning (from russia with love, you only live twice, appears to get a knife in him in this), usually, or often, q is upset by bond's manners, it is not like him to deliver lines and act the way he does in this, it feels like some of the lines were almost made to fit the trailer (promotion), the meanest villain in this i find was fatima blush, bond should've picked up right away she was a phoney, it was actually more of a relief to see bond take care of her than the others, to me she was obviously the nastiest, hungriest of all in this movie, still you gotta give it to her, she overshadowed the bond girl, that actress had more of a screen presence later in her career.

Moore was the Bond when I was young. I was about 6 or 7 when I seen the spy who loved me, moonraker and live and let die when ITV were running them every weekend in 1981. They blew my mind especially Moonraker. Jaws and Samedi scared the hell out of me when I was watching them. Shortly after this I found Diamonds are Forever and kept waiting for James Bond (Moore) to show up. Then there was the fight scene with Peter Franks and Tiffany starts shouting "you've just killed James Bond", I was properly confused. Seen Octopussy in the cinema in 1983 it was amazing. I now love the Connery and Moore films. I still love Never Say Never again. Fatima Blush was something else ......
