Anne Uumellmahaye voice

Learn something new everyday.
Just browsing the cast, to see who did Anne Uumellmahaye's voice, and was surprised to see it was Sissy Spacek.
Although now I can vision it, I never really gave it a thought before.
Ineteresting.

reply

If you listen to the voice very carefully, there is no one in Hollywood who sounds like Sissy Spacek...very unique voice.

reply

Very unique?

reply

Are you saying that when you saw this film and the brain spoke for the first time, you didn't recognize the voice immediately?

reply

I didn't.

reply

o wow, i had no idea that was sissy. now come to think of it, it sounds exactly like her.

I don't like her accent.

reply

Her accent is exactly why I recognized her voice immediately in the movie...nobody in Hollywood sounds like Sissy...think about it. How can you confuse that voice with anyone else?

CISSY SPACESHIP?!

Crikey. No wonder it's all spacey.

Indeed, (strokes beard), perfect sense is made in this light.

reply

I didn't notice either and was pleasantly surprised, also, when I read it was her.

She is a wicked, wicked rad actress.

reply

I had remembered reading years ago it was her, especially when the Brain was singing, it sounded like she did in "Coal Miner's Daughter" (which she did her own singing in)- I have to admit, SHE was the reason I Netflix'ed this movie.

reply

Wow, I always thought I heard a "twang" in Anne's voice, and that she sounded familiar. I haven't seen the movie in years, but I don't know why I didn't bother to look at the credits.

I always thought it to be Bernadette Peters, especially with the nice singing voice. Who'da thunk it.

News to me also. Never thought about the voice when I first saw it back when it first hit theatres.

reply

I immediately recognized her voice, but when I checked the credits...No Sissy. I figured that a big "name" actress in a fairly large part would def. get screen credit, so I figured I was WRONG!
