Gay subtext?
Anyone else see this? The clincher for me was the knife throwing scene in the garage. Granted, it is the early sixties....but those leather outfits?

shareOne of the bikers had red panties :-)
Also there was a a scene with gay subtext in the garage with the biker with ripped abs (I think he was gay) and the "nerdy" son of the garage-owner.
Ever since "Cruising" and the Village People, characters in a leather biker's outfit must have a gay subtext.
shareA variation of a game called mumblety peg. Throwing a knife near to ones feet. Watching a documentary on Vietnam, soldiers would play it with a combat knife.
It's isn't gay, just testing ones bravery. They were smiling at one another to show they weren't afraid.
The game pretty much died with Gen X... Atari 2600 was more interesting.
