It has been mentioned that this film shares similarities with "Castle Keep" (1969) starring Burt Lancaster and Peter Falk. Anyone agree?

Other than the surreal atmospherics, they're totally different films and I don't see the similarities.

I love both movies, but fail to see any similarities.
