If Michael Mann is no longer interested in'The Keep', maybe he should release the movie and all the extra footage to the fans of this great film,and then an enthusiast could cut a 'Fan Edit' - lots of talent out there-i saw a great unofficial 'Fan Edit'cut of 'Dune'<David Lynch>,fab version-i have high hopes similar can be done with 'The Keep'-this movie has great atmosphere !

Are you sure you saw a fan edit of Dune? There were several official edits of Dune.

Fan edits of movies are STUPID. A stupid idea... the movie is the movie... leave all of them alone.
