dvd quality of this film looks horrable!

Omg, it looks like they transferred it from a vhs tape onto a dvd. It looks terrible compared to the other films. They need to digitally remaster it on dvd or release a blu ray.

I'm assuming it's spotty because it was filmed for "3D". Of course 3D then and now is a huge world of difference. I bought it on DVD containing part 2 and "the Revenge" as well.

Anyway the original "Prom Night" has an abysmal DVD transfer as does "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem". Though I've heard the new Bluray versions are much better.

The old versions of any 3-d movie in the 80's are very grainy. Friday the 13th was the same way. They just look bad.

The DVD is at least as bad as the theatrical presentation. And it's not just because it was a film of a certain era. It's because the whole production from filming to DVD was lazy and unprofessional.
