John Putch's (Sean Brody) mother was Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker)

Just read this on his IMDB page, totally news to me.

I knew that. He played a recurring character named Bob Morton on the show '"One Day at a Time" when his mother was still playing Edith on her show.

You can also see John actually appear on the 1973 episode of All in the Family called "Archie Is Branded"--the one about the swastika appearing on the Bunker's door. John plays the Boy Scout who tells Archie he's displaying his American flag wrong. John was a rather pudgy little boy in those days--unlike the way we see him in Jaws 3-D ten years later.
