1) Were they called subhumans or submen in the movie?
2) Were they supposed to be Neanderthals?
3) Were the ones who were sent as ambassadors to Fire Keep the same species? If not what were they? They were more slender and could speak intelligible.
4) What about that huge red haired guy that was the son of the red haired witch. Was he supposed to be a hybrid?
Come on, someone must have some thoughts on this!

2) they seemd to be a mix of Neanderthals and some other race with dark grren skin (hence the reason they appear somewhat green) I always figured they were created by Juliana to serve her son.
3) Perhaps they were a mix of the green skinned people and a Cro-Magnon, or another race entirely. Don't think they're the same species as Nekron's dogs.
4) Awtwah was not so much a hybrid as a big, misshapen, birth defect with feet. You've seen that type of character in all kinds of movies, like the Goonies.
Of course, this is just my take on things, but I hope this helps
