Darkwolf is Nekron's father?

Anyone else discussed this topic? I was wondering whether in any of the directors commentary on the DVD or other supplementary materials they hinted at the idea that Darkwolf is Nekron's father.

He calls Nekron's mother "that old b*tch" in a manner that conveys a prior association with her towards the middle of the movie, and obviously at the end he is the only one who is able to withstand Nekron's powers and slay him.

Yeah, it calls for lots of speculation, but I thought I'd post the idea here just in case anyone else had thought about it.

I know that the trivia section on IMDB says that there was a cut scene from the script indicating this to be true. However, because it was cut out, I've never considered it as part of the the story. I prefer to think that he's just a mystery man who has a dog in this fight, but you don't know what it is. Like an Ahab character with no explicit back story.

Rather than believing he could be Necron's father, I just believe that's one of many possibilities. He could also be his brother...or lover.

I always gathered this from the story. Nekron's mother taught him all he knows, and Darkwolf (his father if this is correct) is the only one with the ability to his to endure his onslaught.

If that's the case then Nekron has serious daddy issues since, his pops is the only individual that can bring down his dreams of empire, in one solid axe blow.

I also felt like there was an allusion to Darkwolf being Larn's brother as well at the beginning when he is told to join his brother, and we see the silhouette of Darkwolf on the hill.

If Darkwolf is his father in the movie (and not just a cut concept we all like) why doesn't he use magic powers then? He never, not once, showed that he actually had any magic powers whatsoever... If he has no powers, how did he resist the attack on his will? Not to mention he didn't even twitch when murdering "his" own child. And the creators said they had cut the concept before making the movie.

I think he is not his dad in the movie and he managed to beat the bad guy because of his tremendous willpower. What was his motivation? He was (judged by the picture of him on the stone of that derelict jungle city) a leader of that community, maybe a king, and now he needs to redeem himself for his failure to protect it.

It's just a theory of course.

When Larn sees Datkwolf after being told to go and see his (big?) brother, that doesn't imply that Darkwolf is everyone's father. :) He simply looked in that direction to see who's on that rock. And he didn't run off to his (actual) brother probably because they saw him as too young to fight on the frontline and he wanted to prove them wrong.

His mother had magic, that's where he got the abilities from.
No reason why he'd have to have two parents to have magical abilities, maybe just strong genes to be able to endure using the powers in the way his mother couldn't.

He did look like there was a lot of physical strain put on his body when he was trying to control someone's will so maybe his mother wanted a man that had the physical and mental strength to pass on to her son.

I know that's not how genes work but this is a fantasy film after all.
