Darkwolf = Batman and Wolverine

I watched this as a kid and I loved this film. I always thought Darkwolf was based on the Batman character. Years later, still having Fire and Ice on a rusty old videotape, my interest in comics hit a new high and I got introduced to Wolverine. I immediately remembered this movie and I just felt like *wow*. :)

Dark = Batman
Wolf = Wolverine

And I loved the idea of Darkwolf being Nekron's father. I'm gonna go and watch this movie again. :D

Well, I never associated Darkwolf with Wolverine; however, I have thought of him a a cross between Batman, Aragorn (Strider) and a U.S. Marine drill sergeant.

He does have a Batmanish vibe about him, with an occasional dose of Wolverine. And of course the obvious influence of Conan.

Darkwolf's mask= Batman

Darkwolf's killer instinct= Wolverine

A statue of Darkwolf being in an ancient temple= Some sort of immortal

Darkwolf's axe= Kull of Atlantis (Conan's predecessor)

Everything else about Darkwolf= Conan (specifically the one featured on Frank Frazetta's artwork. The Conan in Robert Howard's stories wore actual armor rather than just shoes, wrist bands, helmets, and a loincloth.)

I also thought of him as Batman.
