And the actress who played his mother???

Her page shows her birth in 1939, his is 1943.

That can't be right. I suppose it's another instance of an actor/actress lying about their age to make them seem younger.

Age is just a number....

Walken looked young for his age in this film, and she looked old for her age.

With makeup, clothes, etc. it's pretty easy to enhance this, i.e. make someone look older than they are IRL.
Plus, combine that with one of Jackie Burroughs' personal quotes: "I've always played old, even when I was young."
