In the shining dick hallorann is driving to the hotel in the snow. He passes a road traffic accident involving a variety and a lorry. Is this in fact the same crash that Christopher walked has in the dead zone?

No, "The Shining" took place in Colorado, where "The Dead Zone" was set in Maine. That would have been pretty cool though...
