everything she did basically..

first it was less than 5 years and she married and a baby with someone else.
second she visits him, tries to take her blouse off and lead him on
after the visit she said this is the last time i can see you like this
then she sees him again and introduces her husband, which made christopher cry to bits
then in the end she screams his name so he lost his aim.
to top it off she says i love you in the end in front of her husband..

okay.

Yeah, she was my least favorite aspect of this movie. She seemed so inconsistent and only there to provide various forms of tension. It's also strongly implied they had sex, which I found to be creepy since her infant son with another man was in a nearby room.

its brooke adams, being annoying is second nature

she was also annoying in DAYS OF HEAVEN as well , though no doubt richard gere had his way with her

My dear late wife couldn't stand her in DEAD ZONE is bad enough she was also the female lead in CUBA with a favorite of both my wife & I SEAN CONNERY

She didn't have that great a career

I agree, she wasn't the best aspect of the film. The acting was...adequate, I suppose, given her character in the book too wasn't really that interesting, more just a plot device.

At least it isn't like Sleepwalkers where the son and mother have sex on the couch. LOL!

I agree, she was the worst character for acting and plot. she was supposed to come off as romantic but to me she just came across as treacherous and selfish to the extreme. every scene she was in just made me disliked her even more.
