I Thought The Actress Who Played Sarah Was........
Karen Allen with short hair.
Anyone else agree?

I could see that. But I already knew Brooke Adams from Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, so I knew who she was.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
Well ... no. And another poster thought she was Tyne Daly. lol
shareI know this is an old post, but oh well. I have long though Karen Allen and Brooke Adams bear a slight resemblance to each other. When I read books, I tend to envision actors as the characters, and when I read The Dead Zone, I actually envisioned Karen Allen as Sarah. At the time, I hadn't seen the movie and had no idea who was in it aside from Christopher Walken and Martin Sheen (neither of whom I envisioned as the book's characters). It was quite a surprise to see Brooke Adams show up in the role since she closely resembled by vision of the character.
shareNO. Neither Karen Allen nor Brooke Adams was right.
Sarah was supposed to be a green-eyed blonde.
It really bugs me when things like that are ignored.
Yes because the whole point of the character was her hair and eye color.
To Love and win is the best thing. To Love and lose, the next best.share

In the late 70s and early 80s, Brooke Adams, Karen Allen, Jessica Harper, Margot Kidder, and Genevieve Bujold were all interchangeable to casting agents.
shareBrooke Adams is a doll, put some respect on her name. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) and The Dead Zone (1983) are two of the best horror movies of all time. Shock Waves (1977) is fun too!
